Set in a lush green valey, the guesthouse Solar da Boaventura is located in Boaventura, in the north coast of Madeira Island.

This manor house dates back to the 1776. It has been carefully renovated and turned into tourist accommodation, whilst still maintaining all the original style of a rural Madeiran "quinta".

It offers 30 rooms, 10 are situated in the “Mother house” and the others in the new building constructed and decorated with the standards of the original architecture.

This manor house has a small museum, with a display of traditional Madeiran tools and devices, as well as a terrace, a mini golf, a games room, several lounge areas, and luxuriant gardens.

The bar and restaurant have a pleasant garden terrace where guests can dine while enjoying the wonderful views of the surroundings.

Solar de Boaventura is ideally located for hiking activities. Guests can explore settlements in São Vicente, or visit the island’s capital, Funchal (50 km away) or Santana (15 km away).

By car from the airport:

Drive to Funchal, then Ribeira Brava, São Vicente, Ponta Delgada and then Boaventura.
When you arrive at Boaventura, after the church (+/- 200m) there is a turning to your left.
After (+/- 100m) you will find Solar de Boaventura.
