City Council in Madeira Island

A city council is a legislative body which represents and governs a city, town municiplity or/and a local government area. In a city council there is the president and various city councilmen. The Archipelago of Madeira is composed by 11 municipalities and, in each municipality there is a city council. These are the City Council of Funchal, City Council of Santa Cruz, City Council of Machico, City Council of Santana, City Council of S. Vicente, City Council of Porto Moniz, City Council of Calheta, City Council of Ponta do Sol, City Council of Ribeira Brava, City Council Câmara de Lobos and City Council of Porto Santo.
