The Archipelago of Madeira is composed by Madeira Island, Porto Santo Island and the Salvage Islands. There are two ways of getting to Porto Santo Island from Madeira Island. The easiest way is by plane. It will only take 15 minutes. The airline company operating in these two destinies is SATA Company. Moreover, flight connections between Lisbon Airport (LX) and Oporto (OPO) are operated by TAP. However, either tourists or residents can travel to Porto Santo by the ferry boat “Lobo Marinho”, and thus, this ferry allows the transportation of vehicles. The trip lasts 2:30 hours. The Departure from Funchal Harbor is at 8:00 and leaves Porto Santo Harbor at 17h during winter and at 19h during summer.
