Madeira and Porto Santo Islands are known for its mild climate and warm temperatures, besides the beauty of its landscapes with the ocean as a backdrop, its exuberant vegetation, among other things. These are just some of the attractions which make Madeira and Porto Santo Islands unforgettable places. The water temperatures on the islands are warm almost all year long. During summer, the temperatures can vary from 20º to 25º and in winter, from 18º to 20º.
The Garajau Partial Nature Reserve is one of the best places in Madeira to practice scuba diving. This Reserve has attracted many drivers to the Region since 1986, year which was created. It is one of the most important Marine Reserve on the island.
Porto Santo island is also an excellent place for scuba diving. There are some species which can only be found on this island.
Beside these two islands, there is also Selvagens Nature Reserve, which contains some of the rarest plants living in an ecosystem. This Nature Reserve is composed by three volcanic islands which are the Deserta Grande, Bugio and Ilhéu do Chão.
The fauna and flora of this island are diversified. There are species such as the sea lions, Freira do bugio, among others.
