Countryside Tourism increases by 10%

Madeira Rural has increased the number of reservations by 10% compared to last year, being that a madeiran client represents 50% of the total of reservations made. This because the residents of Madeira have come to choose Madeira Island as there resort in the holiday season and also for the work done by the current direction of Madeira Rural in adopting strategies for the Portuguese market and specially the madeiran market.

The demand for the discovery of Madeira, the landscapes, calmness, to enjoy nature and the quality of the various lodges versus the price, among others, are the dominate factors for the customers to choose for tourism in the countryside and for this type of vacation. The proximity of some of the accommodations to locations where some of the best summer festivals are held and there is also an aspect which has led many regional clients to choose accommodations in the countryside, since the use of the car is no longer necessary.
