Imaculada da Conceição is the patron saint of Portugal. Locals have a huge devotion to this saint, since the early settlements.
Since the beginning of Madeira and Porto Santo colonization, dozens of chapels were built in honor of Imacula da Comceição.
One of these chapels can be found in the civil parish of Tabua. It was built in the 1688.
