Chapel of Santa Catarina
Built during the 17th century, the first construction was ordered by Constança Rodrigues, the wife of João Gonçalves Zarco. Later, on the same spot, another chapel from the “Manueline” period was built. Nowadays we can still see a holy water font with Saint Catherine’s maritime symbols engraved on it. The chapel we see today dates back to the 17th century
