Country Houses
The Casas do Pomar are situated in the north coast in Madeira Island, more concretely in Santana city.
In this city have the predominance of unique landscapes and cultures that make this side of the island so special and appellative. Now is known as a world biosphere reserve of Unesco.
With regards to points of attraction, Santana city as the theme park which is a perfect place to visit, the typical houses of Santana in triangulate form covered by straw, the famous levada walks and one that it`s very famed is the levada walk that start in Queimadas to Caldeirão Verde or Caldeirão do Inferno, the Homem em Pé, Pico Ruivo and the Rocha do Navio.
This last one has an aerial tramway.
The winter in Santana it`s cold, rainy and have, sometimes, mist. In summer, the temperatures are mild.
The cottages of Pomar are constituted by 7 houses, totally independents which go to what the individual client wants and also the groups. These houses have the following typologies:
