A beautifully built house with two apartments, situated on a quiet mountainside near the village of Santo da Serra.
This is a perfect spot to start your walks and experience the real countryside. Golfers and horse lovers will be spoilt, with the beautiful Santo da Serra Golf Course and riding club just 2km away. Guests of both houses have use all the facilities of the Estalagem (small hotel) a Quinta including swimming pool, billiard table and swings, bikes ,internet, just 700m away.
At the same time, the sea is quite close and Machico and Santa Cruz are easily reached. Since you are up in the mountains the views are quite stunning but the weather is quite changeable and can be very different from that in the coast.

 - Santo Da Serra Holiday Information
Heading north east of Funchal (Madeira’s capital) and through Camacha, you will come to the small hillside village of Santo da Serra. Set in the mountains there are spectacular views of the surrounding countryside, and Santo da Serra is home to a superb 27-hole golf course covering 9,003 metres; a challenging year round course built amongst an impressive landscape of mountains and lakes. In the village of Santo da Serra and within one kilometre there are a few restaurants and bars as well as a couple of shops. The Parque do Santo da Serra is mainly woodlands, once part of an estate; here you will find a children’s play area, deer and bird enclosures and crazy gold. Parque do Santo da Serra is the perfect location for a picnic. Public transport will take you to Funchal about 18 km away, a superb location to shop and sightsee as well as to discover a little of Madeira’s history or for fine dining and chic cocktail bars. Beaches in Santo Da Serra
Due to its mountain location, there are no beaches in Santo da Serra but the nearest beach and disco is about seven kilometres away, with Funchal and its bathing areas about 18 km away.
 Location/ How to get there

From the Airport, take the freeway (on first curve on the right, there is a road sign indicating Santo da Serra - Santa Cruz) and follow along for 50 metres more, turn right and go straight ahead, parallel to the airport runway. At the end, go up the road for 200 metres and follow the road sign: Santo da Serra – Campo de Golf. 5 km afterwards, after passing the Golf Course, go through the village and 200 metres ahead you will find "Estalagem a Quinta", where you will check in.  

After checking in,  leave the Estalagem (inn) and turn right at the first crossroads after REPSOL Petrol Station, towards Portela. Go straight ahead until the forth curve, where you will enter Caminho da Fajã das Vacas (there is a road sign). 5 metres ahead, turn right and follow straight ahead. Casa da Quinta is on your right, 100 m.
