Located in Porto da Cruz, on the north coast of the island, this rural manor house of the 17th century, classified as a building of great interest, belonged for many centuries to the illustrious Leal family, whose members were viscounts, councilmen and governors.
B&B Quinta da Capela has 5 elegant and spacious bedrooms with antique furnishings, private bathrooms and hardwood floors. There is also a communal living and breakfast room.
Guests also may use the traditional kitchen which is equipped, and visit the historic chapel.
In the beautiful garden, guests can relax and admire the amazing views from the hillside.

Directions from the Airport:
When leaving the airport, towards the direction of "Santana," follow the road signs for "Porto da Cruz." When you reach the exit of “Porto da Cruz”, you will find a roundabout. Take the first exit of the roundabout (where you’ll find a sign for Quinta da Capela), going up on the regional road. Go straight forward, for about 5 minutes, until you find another sign of the house, indicating you to turn left. After nearly 700meters (765 yards) there will be a staircase which provides access to Quinta da Capela, duly signed. The car can be parked in front of the stairway entrance.

Sorry for my bad english! The Quinta da Capela was: Verry clean. On a nice place. A perfect breakfast. Easy to find. The Lady there was perfect an helpful. I dont like the smell from the old wood in the rooms. But i know, that we can not change.

Een verblijf in Quinta da Capela is een unieke ervaring
Wij kunnen iedereen aanraden om er tenminste een nachtje te verblijven. Het is een oud herenhuis (met hiskapel, vandaar de naam), dat volledig ingericht is met oude meubels. Bij thuiskomst kun je vertellen dat je geslapen hebt in een museum. Er is een -ook historisch ingerichte- keuken waar je gebrik van kunt maken. Je kunt er naast koffie en thee ook je eigen maaltijd koken. Overdag kun je in de tuinheerlijk genieten van de rust, de bloemen en het uitzicht. Er is geen permanente receptie. De gastvrouw woont iets verderop. Als ze er niet is, dan hangt er een briefje met het verzoek haar te bellen. Wij waren de enige gasten en dus helemaal alleen in dit museum huis. Spent two nights here as part of a walking holiday. Wow!!. Beautiful position overlooking the the town. Staff were really friendly. Sat in the garden in the evening with a glass of red soaking up the atmosphere. Can`t get much better!! Whats the steps!!2012-September-03 - Eve D.
Un séjour de rêve
Un accueil des plus sympathiques, un cadre rêvé dans cette vieille demeure meublée avec goût et à laquelle une charmante chapelle apporte une touche originale. Une adresse que nous recommandons à tous les amoureux du calme et de la nature. Mieux vaut avoir une voiture car la demeure est sur les hauteurs, ou prévoir d'utiliser les taxis de la ville voisine.
